We provide a wide range of services for Eastern European<br>migrants who arrived in the UK following the EU enlargement in 2004.<br>We are looking for a motivated and creative Communication and Development Officer to join our<br>small team. The role includes contributing to the publication of East Midlands po Polsku<br>(EMpP), managing relationships with advertisers, managing the www.empp.co.uk website and EMpP<br>social media channels, supporting community engagement activities, and coordinating volunteers.<br>The postholder will contribute to the delivery of SPS services, including organising events and<br>workshops, supporting volunteers, and assisting with project monitoring and reporting.<br>The role promotes community cohesion, intercultural dialogue, and positive engagement between<br>Eastern European residents and the wider Nottingham community.<br>Responsibilities will be introduced progressively during the course of employment and will not be<br>delivered all at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Communications and Media<\/strong><br>&#8211; Contribute to the publication of East Midlands po Polsku (researching information, writing<br>articles, proofreading, and sourcing photographs).<br>&#8211; Demonstrate an interest in local, national, and community news relevant to Polish and<br>Eastern European communities.<br>&#8211; Manage SPS and EMpP social media channels and website (including WordPress, Facebook,<br>and YouTube).<br>&#8211; Produce and distribute printed and digital promotional materials.<br>&#8211; Develop and maintain advertising relationships for East Midlands po Polsku.<br>&#8211; Complete administrative work related to advertising, including producing and sending<br>invoices to EMpP advertising partners.<br><strong>Community Engagement and Development<\/strong><br>&#8211; Support the delivery of multicultural workshops, family events, and outreach activities.<br>&#8211; Promote participation across Polish, Eastern European, and wider Nottingham communities.<br>&#8211; Work collaboratively with community groups, volunteers, and partner organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Volunteer Coordination<\/strong><br>&#8211; Recruit, support, and coordinate volunteers for SPS projects and events.<br>&#8211; Provide clear role descriptions, guidance, and appropriate supervision.<br>&#8211; Encourage skills development and recognise volunteer contributions.<br><strong>Events and Activities<\/strong><br>&#8211; Assist with the planning and delivery of workshops, family events, ESOL and IT courses,<br>coffee mornings, and community projects.<br>&#8211; Support event logistics, promotion, and volunteer coordination.<br><strong>Administration, Monitoring and Reporting<\/strong><br>&#8211; Collect monitoring data, feedback, and evaluation evidence.<br>&#8211; Assist in preparing reports for funders and SPS trustees.<br>&#8211; Maintain accurate records in line with SPS and funder requirements.<br>&#8211;
